Thanks for the compliment and question Kristen. I shot in RAW and did my post processing in Lightroom, which I’ve raved about on several other posts here. I only shoot RAW so I have the ability to do a lot of different things down the road that I would otherwise lose in JPEG.
A lot of what you see here in the brilliancy comes from a saturation, vibrance and blacks boost. Then I simply export to JPEG to upload to the web. This particular image benefits from a Velvia preset Lightroom, which mimics the (you guessed it) popular Fuji Velvia film.
