After yesterday’s teaser from Olympus of a new PEN camera due out in early May, the Olympus E-P5 appears to have leaked out ahead of its official announcement. As previously rumored, it closely resembles the design of the old Olympus PEN F.
The Olympus PEN E-P5 is expected to be announced by May 11, 2013. The camera is rumored to feature the same 16MP sensor as found in the Olympus OM-D E-M5. Additional rumors suggest an improved AF speed that will best the highly-regarded E-M5.
Personally, I think this is one very attractive camera – even more so if the AF speed is as fast as rumored.

The only thing missing from the last year’s EPL5 is a built in flash as opposed to the attached flash version which I do not like. I prefer the built in popup for spontaneous fill flash for social photos at close range (I have it in the older EPL1 and love using that feature) and leaves the hot shot open for other attachments like EVF etc. Looks like the EP5 will will have it like earlier EP models (I hope, as it is hard to tell from this one photo).
