Last month, we saw the white Canon EOS 100D kit released in the UK. Now, Canon has seen fit to release the US counterpart, the Rebel SL1, in an all white kit as well.
For those of you in the US looking to get your inner Storm Trooper on, you will be able to find the white EOS SL1 with a white 18-55mm IS STM lens in stock in June for $749. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

Canon has jumped the shark, and I’m thinking the Panasonic GH4 is more interesting than the 1DC. The GH4 is 1/6th the price, a cool $10,000 less.

I like the SL1 in every way more than all T-models except one: it does not have a Canon optional vertical hand grip (only available with 3rd party with external cable connection). Until it is not available, I will keep waiting.

Now that digital is not as sensitive to heat as film is, Canon brings out the white body. Too late.

Surely a Rebel cannot also be a Stormtrooper.
