I just imagine when will we see some one like this hanging around neck like 70 200
Peter G says
You don’t hang a lens like that around your neck. You carry the lens / camera combination by the lens body, with the camera attached.
If you carry it by the camera, and leave the lens unsupported, you will eventually distort the camera body and mount due to that unsupported weight.
I have seen people do that and they don’t realize the damage they can do over long term use.

Nikon has so lost the plot.,.,.12000 for good lenses ,,,2700 for consumer grade (80-400) junk. who is their market? photography is dying out and no thanks to Nikon, they are at the forefront.
the so called digital revolution has made photography time consuming, expensive, low quality, and reliant on software that makes everyone’s images the same.
got out the nikkormat , 24mm and a couple rolls or frozen tri-x and had a great time the other day. plus the client was pleased to have such a “cool retro look”.

So, digital has made it more expensive ? …… wrong………. Its cheaper. No film costs, no processing fees , no smelly chemicals . Instant results .
Film…… don’t miss it at all, and either does my pocket .

1: Computer: You already have one , I presume .
2: Software: Very expensive :-) I use Nikon Capture NX2 and its a few hundred dollars.
3: Camera Equipment: You have to have camera equipment whether its film or digital I reluctantly went digital, and now, wish they had invented digital about 30 years ago. Cost varies, but, I’m still using some of my Nikon lenses from the 1990’s. I still have two off Nikon F5 bodies. Haven’t been used for years.
4: Back-up hard Drives: Cheaper by the month.
5: Printer: I have my big prints done by outside supplier.
6: Inks. I don’t bother printing small prints, so, no cost.
7: Paper: No cost . I pay for the paper when I have a 12′ X 18″ print done. Built into the cost.
8: Time: How about the time you spend developing film, fixing, washing etc? Printing photos, washing etc.
9: Hard drives… Refer to #4
10: Skin Tones … Never had any issues.
Enjoy your film. I’m enjoying my 2 off Nikon D3s bodies .
