After launching the Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced models at NAB 2015, DJI has unveiled the new Phantom 3 Standard quadcopter, which features a built-in camera with 3-axis gimbal. It can capture up to 2.7K resolution video at 30fps and 12MP DNG and JPEG still images.
The Phantom 3 Standard’s remote controller is an updated version of the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ controller with an integrated WiFi range extender and wheel to angle the camera. The new drone includes Follow Me, Waypoint Navigation and Point of Interest features.
It also connects via WiFi your mobile device to view a live feed from the camera, access camera settings and enable waypoint navigation. The controller has a holder for your mobile device for easy viewing while flying.

You information on the Phantom 3 Standard is incorrect. You say it has waypoints and point of interest ability, this is in fact a future feature that is not currently available. This was also advertised for the Dji Inspire 1 some 9 months ago but is still not available.
That info comes direct from DJI. If you have other info that DJI has updated this product, then please send me a link. All of the press release and initial marketing info promotes these features.
Ok, here is the link to the Dji page, scroll to the bottom and you will see it says “coming soon” and lists Point of interest, waypoints, follow me and IOC. Most of these features were promised for the Inspire when launched and 9 months later we are still waiting.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Dji craft are by far the best on the market at present but their big downfall is failure to deliver what is promised.
