Sony has a new trade-in event for Alpha mirrorless cameras with up to $700 savings. The savings apply with a combo of instant savings and trade-in bonuses on the Sony A7R II, A7S II, A7R III and A9. Sigma’s updated set of nine prime Art lenses for native Sony E-mount are now available and shipping. The lenses include Sigma’s new 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro and 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM lenses, along with seven existing lenses:

- Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art
- Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art
- Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

These Sony versions have the same optics and overall construction of these popular lenses in the Canon/Nikon mount counterparts. However, the lens barrel is extended to make up for the additional flange distance required provide a native Sony E-mount.
Sony continues to make big runs at Canon and Nikon. With each new camera announcement, more and more eyebrows are raised to what Sony’s E-mount line is offering. The latest big move doesn’t come from Sony directly though.

Continually adding to its professional line of cameras and accessories, Sony has announced its new wireless radio flash, the HVL-F60RM. The new flash has a guide number of 60 and covers a 20-200mm zoom range. It is built specifically for the Sony E-mount line but will also work with Sony A mount cameras. [Read more…]
