We’ve seen a lot of price slashing this week on the Canon 5D Mark II, which has taken the full frame favorite below the $2k mark.
The Canon 5D Mark II is available for $2099 at Adorama right now. That’s over $100 less than most other places – even with the instant rebates going on…
Below are a few deals at B&H that I just got an email on. Several Canon lenses and various other cameras, lenses, and gear. Check them out below. [Read more…]
There have been all kinds of crazy deals from Canon in the recent weeks. Canon recently updated many of the DSLR kits and lenses that have rebates. Now, everything from the Rebel T3 to the 5D Mark II has some very solid savings available.
Below is a quick rundown of the current instant rebate offers for Canon DSLRs. (If you are looking for lenses or Speedlites on their own, see this chart of all the Fall/Winter Canon lens & Speedlite instant rebates.) [Read more…]
B&H has a $400 off deal for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. It is usually priced at $2,374. The price is valid through Dec. 2.
B&H has the Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS lens for only $899.95 as a refurbished model. That’s about $160 off the price of buying a new one.
B&H has the Sony HX9V point and shoot camera for $299 right now. The HX9V is probably the best do-it-all point and shoot camera. It captures great 16.2MP still images and captures HD video up to 1080/60p. Unfortunately, I have not gotten around to completing my review of the HX9V; however, I give it high marks all around and think that it is worth every penny of the asking price.
Note that you’ll have to add the camera to your cart to see the deal price, which is good through Dec. 10.
Amazon is about to open up Cyber Monday with a Lightning Deal on a Canon DSLR. Chances are that this limited quantity item will go fast, so watch the countdown here a little before 12:15AM ET if you’re interested.
If you’re not looking for a DSLR, there are plenty of photo accessories like memory cards, lenses, tripods, computers and more on the Cyber Monday 2011 deals page.
As I have been perusing through the Black Friday ads this week, the one thing I’ve noticed is how underwhelming most of the DSLR “doorbuster” deals have been. And how Amazon’s ordinary prices are inline with these Black Friday deals.
For instance, almost every major brick & mortar retailer is selling the Canon Rebel T3 at $479 as some kind of huge deal. It was $478 on Amazon earlier this week and is $468 at the time of this post.
Amazon is offering a free basic backpack and an 8GB memory card with several Canon Rebel kits (e.g., T3, T2i, T3i), most of which are already cheaper than what’s you’ll find if you happen to make it into a store at 4AM and find them in stock. Throw in the Transcend 8GB card and basic camera backpack, and you’ve got all the more reason to stay inside on Black Friday.

Even though the Sony NEX-3 is last year’s model, it’s still a competent camera – and Amazon has a solid deal now through December 3. The Sony NEX-3 kit with an 18-55mm lens and the 16mm f/2.8 pancake lens is only $499.
The 16mm lens alone is normally $250, so this is quite a bargain.
