C&A Marketing, which licenses Polaroid’s brand name, is suing GoPro for patent infringement of its Polaroid Cube line of action cameras. C&A claims that the GoPro HERO4 Session is a ripoff of the Cube, which was introduced to the market several months before the HERO4 Session.
If you were familiar with the Polaroid Cube prior to the HERO4 Session launch, you couldn’t help but notice the striking similarity of the two.

The iOgrapher started as a way to turn the iPad into a more professional video capturing device. It worked and the company has since produced variations for several other iOS devices. It’s a relatively affordable (by iOS and video production standards) mount/grip/rig for the iPhone and iPad and now the company is launching the iOgrapher GO for use with GoPro and other action cameras. Recall that the GoPro HERO4 Session is an ultra-compact action cam measuring as a 1.5″ cube. It captures 1080/60p video, as well as the taller frame 1920 x 1440p video at 30fps. It can also deliver 720p video at 100 fps for roughly 4x slow motion when conformed to a 24p edit timeline.
