Some of the PMA 2009 events began yesterday – DIMA Annual Conference, PIEA Educator/Student Workshops and PMA Registration. However, the show floor is still closed while vendors were working hard on getting set up before it opens on Tuesday.
Just walking through the convention center, a few things stuck out to me.
Sony’s advertising was there in force. Keeping with the prior revelations that Sony will not be releasing any new DSLRs at PMA, Sony’s banners prominently display the entire current Alpha lineup – A200, A300, A350, A700 and A900.
Other prominent ads displayed Panasonic’s G1 and Nikon’s D700.
I should have my hands on some products and news Monday by way of a couple press events.
Stay tuned for the latest.

Please let me know if Nikon unveils any new DSLRs, especially any replacements for the D40 and D60. I’m waiting to purchase my first DSLR until I know what the 2009 lineup will be.
