Lens Flipper is a unique lens carrying and swapping tool that allows you to safely and securely swap out lenses on your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
Imagine two lens mount caps with their backs glued together and the mount cap facing out. That’s essentially what you get with the Lens Flipper – except its much more secure and robust than my crude visualization.
While it is not a design for everyone, there are plenty of situations where it will come in handy. You can carry frequently-used lenses on an outing without the need for a camera bag. Keep one on the camera and one on your Lens Flipper.
If you’re shooting in hazardous situations where changing lenses can be precarious, the Lens Flipper will let you focus on just one piece of gear at a time. Once the lens you are removing from your camera is securely mounted on the Lens Flipper, you no longer have to worry about it.
The Lens Flipper runs $89.95 and is available for Canon, Nikon, Sony A and Sony E mount cameras. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

1. Take two rear lens caps.
2. Glue them together.
3. Pocket $90 plus shipping.

That’s a little simplified and probably pretty dangerous for your lenses. Please don’t do that…

Lens Flipper… the name just makes me laugh. Like some sort of selfie-taking seal.
But on a more serious note…. do I understand that the lens flipper device attaches to the lens via the quarter-turn mounting plate? If so, is there anything to ‘lock’ it into place that requires the pressing of a button (or such) to release it? Like on the camera itself?
