The rumors continue for the coming 50MP Canon DSLRs. Recently, the rumors of a split of the Canon 5D line suggested we would see multiple Canon 5D Mark III successors released at the same time – perhaps a 5D Mark IV and a 5Ds.
Now, new tips to Canon Rumors point to an official announcement in March. Of course, that’s after CP+ but, notably, before NAB 2015. Of course, at CP+ we are still expecting to see the Canon 750D / Rebel T6i unveiled.
It makes sense to split the new DSLR announcements between CP+ for the consumer audience and NAB 2015 for the pro / enthusiast audio – particularly if the 5D Mark IV and 5Ds (or whatever they are called) turn out to deliver 4K video capture as the rumors go…
Stay tuned.

The Canon 5d MKIII had its first public outing at “Focus on Imaging” NEC, Birmingham, England. That show no longer exists but a newer show simply called “The Photography Show” is in March at the same NEC venue. Canon are already advertising there presence at this show which was a huge hit in 2014 and is larger this year.

What? 36 MP was not enough. Take that Nikon! Who is the KIng now….
We are all going need the newest computers to handle the Raw files if we take a lot of images.
It should be great for large prints/ads/mural posters and landscapers, and anyone who likes to crop into images.
(I am sure Nikon is already working on something new in next version).
