When DJI said its new Ronin-M 3-axis gimbal would be under $2000 back at NAB 2015 earlier this month, I expected it to be pretty close to that number. I am pleasantly surprised to report, however, that the Ronin-M will retail well south of that number at just $1399.
While the MOVI M5 may be a more mature and refined product, the Ronin-M offers similar functionality and the $1399 number attached to the Ronin-M means that it will be reachable for more low-budget filmmakers and aspiring amateurs.
The DJI Ronin-M will ship in early May (that’s next week folks) and can be pre-ordered now. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
