If you are shooting an ice hockey game, maybe make sure your lens hood doesn’t fall through the glass cutout and onto the ice.
This embarrassed photographer lost his lens hood and confused the hockey players into thinking there was another puck out on the ice. It resulted in stopping the game and the ref returned the offending lens hood back to the photographer.

Looks like a Nikon 14-24 lens hood. Those hoods are notorious for falling off.

Good thing that lens hood was being used to stop the lens flair he’ll get from the sun in that arena. LOL
The possible flair from the arena strobes would be pretty negligible I’d think.
