Phase One’s new IQ2 series launched today with three new 645 format digital backs. The Phase One IQ280, IQ260 and IQ260 Achromatic offer high-speed wireless connectivity with the ability to capture and view up to 80MP images on an iPad running Phase One’s Capture Pilot App. Additional options include the ability to set exposure, trigger the shutter and check focus via the app.
The IQ280 and IQ260 backs sport 80MP and 60MP sensors, respectively. The backs deliver 13 f-stops of dynamic range and 16 bit color depth. Wired tethering is possible via USB3 or FireWire 800. The IQ260 Achromatic is built for black and white photography with no IR cut-off filter on the sensor.
Additional features of all the models include a 3.2-inch touch screen display at 1.15MP resolution, up to 1/10,000s shutter speed, aircraft grade aluminum construction, high-speed memory card interface and, of course, Capture One software for post-production.
Pricing starts at $30k with availability in July 2013.
