Bibble Labs has updated Bibble 5 Pro to version 5.0.1. The updated version now supports the Canon 1D Mark IV and Olympus E-P2, along with a number of other updated features.

Austin, Tx, Jan 28th, 2010: Just one month after the initial release of Bibble 5 Pro, we are already releasing our first update! Version 5.0.1 adds support for Canon’s new flagship camera, the 1D Mark IV and for Olympus’ E-P2, and adds a one-click tool to set black / gray / white points, and includes Andrea – the Film Simulation plug-in from Sean Puckett (next.com/andrea).

New Click Black / Gray / White tool
This tool is a great way to quickly set curve points based on image content, to neutralize and deepen shadows and set the output white point. This much-requested feature from Bibble Labs’ customers further expands the wide array of image adjustments possible in Bibble 5.

This release also includes the free version of Andrea – a powerful and exciting plugin for Bibble 5 build by Sean Puckett. Rediscover 90 years of traditional photo films and papers in B&W and color! Andrea is the evolution of AndyPRO, the preeminent film simulator for Bibble 4, and contains all of the simulations from AndyPRO.
2 New Cameras & 13 Newly Calibrated Lenses
Rapid updates for RAW file support for new cameras was a hallmark of Bibble 4, and we’re thrilled to be able to return to that tradition with Bibble 5. Two new RAW formats have been added, color reproduction quality for several current cameras have been improved, and this release also adds 13 newly calibrated lenses – based of community generated lens calibration data. This version also includes fixes for several issues found in the initial 5.0 release.
Availability, Upgrades, and Pricing
Bibble 5 Pro is available immediately for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers for $199.95 from http://bibblelabs.com. Bibble Labs customers who purchased Bibble 4 since September, 2006 are eligible for a free upgrade to Bibble 5 Pro. Earlier Bibble 4 Pro customers may upgrade to Bibble 5 Pro for $99.
Bibble 5 Lite will follow, scheduled in the first quarter of 2010. Bibble 4 Lite customers who purchased Bibble 4 since September, 2006 will have immediate access to Bibble 5 Pro until Bibble 5 Lite is available.
Bibble 5 Pro includes RAW support for many of the newest SLR’s available, including Canon 7D, S90 and G11, Nikon D3s, and D5000, Pentax K-x, Sony’s a850 and a550, and many others. Bibble 5 is available on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and has lower hardware requirements than many other applications in its class.
