Datacolor and Manfrotto Distribution are putting on a free color management webinar today from 2-3pm EDT entitled “How to Get Great Prints”. Obviously, Datacolor makes the Spyder3 color management products, which will probably be at the forefront of the discussion, but you’ll likely learn a few things about color management in moving from digital images to prints on a more general basis as well. Plus, it’s free.

Datacolor and Manfrotto Distribution Press Release
Ramsey, N.J. (August 16, 2010) — Manfrotto Distribution and Datacolor are proud to announce a free webinar entitled, “How to Get Great Prints!” which explains how Spyder3® products can be used to eliminate the frustration of creating prints that don’t match what is displayed on one’s monitor. The free webinar will take place on Wednesday, August 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.
Datacolor Education Manager, Joshua Fischer, and Manfrotto Distribution Product Manager, Will Holowka, will explain the benefits that monitor calibration and printer profiling can have on one’s digital workflow whether the images are printed by the photographer themselves or if they are sent out to a lab. The entire Datacolor Spyder3 line will be discussed throughout the webinar, including the new Spyder3Print™ SR. Datacolor’s new Strip Reading Spectrocolorimeter, the Spyder3Print SR makes it easy to create printer profiles and apply those profiles to print in Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture.
Topics for Discussion Include:
– Color management and control
– How to soft-proof in Photoshop
– Tips for photographers that send their prints to a lab to be printed
– Ways that monitor calibration and printer profiling can eliminate expensive and time consuming trial-and-error testing
