NatGeo Photographer Paul Nicklen on TED Talks

May 10, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Paul Nicklen is renowned Arctic and Antarctic wildlife photographer. Has a passion for these regions and the wildlife within, which is demonstrated by both his photography and words about life there.

In late-2009, I passed along a short video about his encounter with a leopard seal in Antarctica.  While it was only less than 2-minutes long, it was a very powerful video, featuring Nicklen’s world-class photography and a very cool story.

Earlier this year, Nicklen was featured at TED2011 and now the video is online.  It’s worth the 17 minutes to sit down and watch.  Nicklen has some great stories about more than just picture-taking.

Check it out below.

Nicklen’s Polar Obsession book is available on Amazon.com.
