Bass Cam

September 30, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Bass Cam

One of the great things about the Sony NEX-5N is the size and weight.  The bass player couldn’t have handled the bass with a heavier camera on the end. The NEX-5N was pushing it, but it was still workable for a few minutes as he played.

Here’s a short clip of what the shot looks like.

The Bass Cam has a very snorricam feel to it and produced some pretty cool footage.  It’s not something you want a whole lot of in a video, but it will be nice for a couple of 2-3 second cuts.  We’ll be cutting the final spot to a soundtrack, so the clicking problem with the NEX-5N is a non-issue here.

More on the Sony NEX-5N First Impressions Review and on the Nasty Clamps Review.
