Earlier this week, Apple announced the iPhone 4S, which features a new 8MP camera (up from 5MP) and also captures 1080p HD video at 30fps.
The iPhone 4S includes a brighter f/2.4 lens with 5 lens elements and a hybrid infrared filter. Additionally, the iPhone 4S can capture 3 images in sequence, which are then processed as an HDR image. Pressing the volume “up” button allows you to snap an image, which is a big benefit over the old on-screen button.
Apple also claims improvements in noise control and white balance. Image stabilization for video capture has been added to the iPhone 4S as well.
Finally, iCloud allows you to sync your images online and share them instantly on social networking sites.
