As we close in on Photokina 2012, the certainty of which cameras are going to be announced soon continues to grow more certain. Lots of rumors have pointed to both the Sony NEX-5R and NEX-6 – and now it appears with have some genuine leaked images of these two new models.
Nothing overly surprising by any of these leaked shots. The NEX-5R looks like it should as a replacement to the NEX-5N. And the NEX-6 has the appears of a camera situated below the NEX-7 in the lineup (as we expected that it would).
As a reminder, the NEX-5R is rumored to feature a new 16MP CMOS sensor with phase detection pixels built into the sensor itself. Expect (at least) 1080/60p AVCHD video to be included as well.
The NEX-6 is rumored to feature the same 16MP APS-C sensor from the NEX-5R and will have WiFi and app support.
