The Olympus Stylus 1 compact camera has leaked out ahead of its official announcement. It bears a striking resemblance to Olympus OM-D Micro Four Thirds cameras; however, it will obviously sport a smaller sensor.
Clearly, it has an EVF and tilting LCD. The mode dial and hot-shoe further signal the advanced-compact placement. As you can see in the top photo, the Stylus 1 also has an interesting built-in lens cap/hood design. It looks like the lens retracts fully into the barrel and the built-in cap closes. When the camera is powered on and the lens extends, it looks like the lens cap opens up to serve a dual function as a lens hood.
The camera is rumored to launch on October 29 for ¥70,000 (or around $700).
