Zeiss has announced its third Compact Zoom lens, the CZ.2 15-30mm T2.9 lens, to go along with the current CZ.2 28-80mm T2.9 and CZ.2 70-200mm T2.9 lenses. The new lens completes a broad range for the CZ.2 line, which is also the only full frame zoom cine-style lenses in the world. (Canon’s EOS Cinema zoom lenses only cover an APS-C sensor.)
The Zeiss CZ.2 15-30mm T2.9 lens ships in August and retails for $23,900. It will also be available in a kit that also includes the 28-80mm and 70-200mm CZ.2 lenses for a total of $59,900. All CZ.2 lenses have interchangeable mounts for compatibility with PL, EF, F, MFT and E lens mounts.
The entire CZ.2 line will be on display at NAB 2014 for closer inspection.
