Sony announced a new Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS lens for the full frame E-mount A7 series cameras. Of course, the new lens also works on APS-C format E-mount cameras but you’ll have to deal with the 1.5x crop factor.
The lens includes one large AA (advanced aspherical) element and three ED glass elements for solid corner-to-corner performance. It is also equipped with Optical SteayShot image stabilization and is weather sealed for protection against the elements.
This addition of the Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS model makes 24 lenses in the growing E-mount lens series; 7 of which are full frame lenses for the A7 series. The full rundown of E-mount lenses is as follows:
