Profoto unveiled this week its new B2 250 AirTTL Off-Camera flash system, which follows the popular B1 from last year. The compact B2 250 battery pack runs off a lithium ion battery. It can be purchased in a kit with one or two B2 250Ws flash heads.
Profoto offers Canon and Nikon TTL remotes for the AirTTL system. A non-TTL wireless remote is available for other systems to use the lights in manual mode only. Wireless TTL range is 330′ and wireless manual range is 1000′.
The lights provide 9-stops output adjustment in 1/10 increments. The B2 heads are small enough to be mounted on-camera as a substitute for speedlights with about five times the power output.
