Check out this short but great video that covers the history of photography in five minutes. However, I wish the video wouldn’t have glossed over some of the more recent brands and trends, which have some interesting history in their own right.

I now and again give talks to non specialist groups of people. Maybe half a dozen tomes a year. Would it be possible to be able to show them this movie on the short history of photography? I ask this as I wouldn’t want to break any copyright. Thank you,

You can’t cover it in 5mins. Polaroid was a game changer, digital scan backs, professional digital backs, oh and Victor Hasselblad… It would be cool to have a 10-15min video that would encompass developments and finally not to be so ‘negative’ to Mr Talbot – as imaging licensing exists today as we have huge archives operating a very similar type of business.
