Sigma revealed the price of the recently announced 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens at just $1599. As with other Sigma lenses, I think this is an incredible price point for such a killer lens. I was able to play with it for a bit back at NAB last month and I think its going to be a real hit as a portrait option.
While the lens looks pretty big, I was surprised at just how compact and lightweight (relatively speaking) the lens is. The detachable hood makes it look bulkier than it actually is. Canon, Nikon and Sigma mount versions will be available in June, while a Sony E-mount option will ship at a later date. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
