Above is a possible leaked picture of the Nikon D300s, which we pretty much know is a sure thing. Whether the image is real or not, however, is still up in the air.
The only real differences we see between this image and Nikon’s press image of the D300 is the ‘s’ and the mic holes.
Look a little closer though and you will see that the D300s badge is actually shifted a little to the left, rather than a sloppy PS job like yours truly did in the below image by just throwing an ‘s’ on the end of a D300 logo.
If the top image is fake, job well done. If it’s real . . . well, I guess we’ll be seeing more of it real soon.

It’s clear that the rumour mill runs hot over topics like this, but the question for me is one of weather sealing.
If the D300 is so much better than my D80 because of dust and weather sealing, why have what appears to be such gaping holes in the casing that negate that?
Grant says
it’s a fake, from one photo to the next the insignia moves, I doubt this is authentic.

re-read the post, still dont buy it till the press release…

Those gaping holes are for the microphone.

It would be nice for this body to become true!!!
Would love to have video, but D90 doesn’t suit my needs.
D300s – nice backup camera.
