Remember that photo of the Gorillapod Magnetic attached to my car from the other day?
Well . . . I couldn’t resist.
That’s a Flip Video camcorder attached to the side and top of the car. I made it up to about 50 mph and the Gorillapod showed no signs of letting go. A few pot holes were no match for the strong magnets either.
A little reminder and disclaimer: I don’t recommend you do this with your own gear. This is just to show you the capability of this awesome little device. I’m pretty confident that those magnets could hold the Flip at Interstate speeds, but I’m not ready to risk the little camera’s life . . . yet.
If you missed it, here’s the link to the original Gorillpod Magnetic Review.

What happens when you get your memory card too close to one of those powerful magnets, though?
Eric Reagan says
@Poagao – I’ll put that on my to-do list and report back.

That would be a great thing to have for some drives along treacherous roads with amazing views. Sometimes you don’t want to take your eyes off the road for fear of death. We have some amazingly scenic ocean view roads it would be perfect for. Great test of the equipments ability.
