Sony Mystery Camera on November 17

November 7, 2010 By Eric Reagan

According to Film and Digital Times, the above teaser is Sony’s new motion picture camera and it’s slated for unveiling on November 17.

When we saw the Sony NEX-VG10, we knew that a more professional camera was coming but the timing was unclear.  With this new indie-oriented video camera (as it’s being called), Sony looks to deliver a preemptive response to the December availability of Panasonic’s Micro Four Thirds AG-AF100 camcorder.

Notably, FD Times is reporting that there is a 35mm full frame sensor inside this new Sony machine, which is unlike the smaller APS-C format sensor found in the Sony NEX-VG10.

Update:  Apparently, it’s Super35 and not still camera 35mm.

The Sony NEX-VG10 is very good in my opinion, if this is a full frame 35mm it would be excellent.
