Lensbaby let the wraps off a new lens today – the Composer Pro.
The Lensbaby Composer Pro steps up its game with upgrades to the swivel ball and focus mechanism to make it (you guessed it) more “pro” oriented. The new focus ring is a dampened fluid ring, which (according to Lensbaby) is more akin to pro-caliber lenses from conventional lens makers.
Along with the upgraded construction, the Composer Pro retains compatibility with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, and it ships with your choice of the Double Glass Optic or Sweet 35 Optic installed.
The Composer Pro will be available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax and Olympus DSLR mounts. The Composer Pro retails for $300 with the Double Glass Optic, and $400 with the new Sweet 35 Optic.
Hmm… wonder if its worth the extra money for the “pro” version.
