After Effects CS5.5 Warp Stabilizer Samples

May 6, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Adobe Evangelist Jason Levine posted a pair of samples demonstrating the power of the new Warp Stabilizer in After Effects CS5.5.

Check them out below.

And here’s another clip from Jason Levine:

I’m pretty stoked about this tech being built-in to After Effects.  The last project I worked on had several shots in a vehicle that were tortured by the rolling shutter on the 5D Mark II.

Even though AE gives us this power now, I’m anxious to see how Final Cut Pro X implements this tech as well.  Final Cut Pro X is due out in June and it’s supposed to be able to analyze for stabilization and correct rolling shutter effects during the import process.  It’s a fun time to be working with video.
