Topaz Lens Effects

May 11, 2011 By Eric Reagan

Topaz Labs recently unveiled its new Lens Effects plug-in for Photoshop.  Lens Effects allows you to apply depth of field effects and other effects to your images during post processing.  Lens Effects uses a depth map for fine tuning out of focus areas, which helps make the depth of field look more natural and optical-based.

Topaz Lens effects retails for $79.99; however, it is available at the introductory price of $49.99 through June 1.  You can order Lens Effects direct from Topaz Labs’ website.

Check out a half-hour video demo showing off the ins and outs of the plug-in below.

Unfortunately Topaz does not believe that it’s necessary to put a customer support phone number on its website. The only way you can contact them is through an email, and then you have to hope they decide to take the trouble to answer you. This was NOT the case when I ran into a problem with a previous plugin. I never received an answer to some technical questions and had to trash my Photoshop application and reinstall after losing many hours of work. Not worth the risk …….

Not my personal experience in either case. I’ve always got a response by email within 24 hours from Topaz Labs on the odd occasion I’ve needed help. They are a small company by the look of them and I make allowances given that their software is highly flexible, reasonable and, in my view, excellent.

I wish to order TOPAZ LENS EFFECTS but when I click on the Order direct from Topaz
I receive message that this is not the correct site and disconnects.

How can I order Lens Effects? I’m ready.

Topaz Labs say via Facebook that the website should be back up in a few minutes, Dale.

@Dale – Sorry for the website being down….we are working on getting it back up as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest in Lens Effects! :)

@lembryk.pl @hasi – Our phone number is listed under the Company tab on our website (when it is up and running, of course)…..just click on Company and it’s there below our address. Our tech support is usually handled online though…..you can e-mail support directly at help[at]topazlabs.

    Have a great day!

E’ molto utile come software per il fotoritocco specie per migliorare la definizione in sede di stampa per grossi formati.
