No hot-shoe means that we are deprived even of the option of attaching an optical viewfinder. The GF Series is clearly being tuned for the non-serious amateur. One only hopes that the G and GH Series are made increasingly appealing to the serious amateur and the professionals, without which the entire micro four-third concept will continue to play second fiddle to the DSLRs. Who will then care for a 50mm (equiv) f/1.4 lens? Without full-featured cameras on offer, the lens alone will not persuade a serious amateur to switch to a micro four-third system.
