Joby GorillaPod Micro 250 and 800: The Always-On Tripods

September 29, 2011 By Eric Reagan

GorillaPod Micro 250

Joby’s new GorillaPods are a pair of miniature tripods that are small enough to remain attached to your compact or mirrorless camera at all times.

While they may look like some of those cheap tabletop tripods you find at $10-aisle at Wal-Mart, the genius of these new models is how they collapse.  Both models fold almost completely flat against the bottom of the camera.

The GorillaPod Micro 250 is designed for point and shoot cameras and is priced at $19.95.  The GorillaPod Micro 800 is designed for mirrorless cameras like the Sony NEX series or Micro Four Thirds models, and is priced at $29.95.
