B&H now has the price listed for the Sony NEX-FS700 at $7999 for the camera body. And, the price with the 18-200mm kit lens is $8599.
We kinda expected a pricepoint in this neighborhood; however, now that I’m actually looking at it, it’s hard to believe that Sony is delivering 240fps at full 1080p for $8k. And, to boot, it’s going to capture 4K via an external recorder.
No pre-orders yet, but stay tuned. I’ll let you know as soon as they open up.

I like this website and I know there is crossover with the whole DSLR video thing… but its starting to feel like it should be call videographybay

Sorry MM. Video coverage has been a little heavy lately thanks to NAB. While that should subside somewhat, there will still be a lot of crossover going forward.

Very nice if you’re in the billionaire class. (So why am I looking at this camera? you may well be asking yourself. Because dvt.co.nz invited me to a presentation in Auckland and I was curious.) The US price of $8k equals just over NZ$9,970, which is more than two-thirds of my personal after-tax annual income. Mind-boggling.
