A couple of years back, I wrote about the Cloak Bag, which was new a new product that allowed you to shoot images with your DSLR while your camera remains in the bag.
The newer version is larger for hands-on camera control. The original version had slits along the side to allow users to grip their cameras, but the new version is bigger so that you can fit your hands in the bag and grip the camera body. A side benefit is that the bag now supports larger cameras.
The new Cloak Bag uses button snaps instead of velcro the older bag. Additionally, there is a quick release track that the screw securing the camera in place can slip through for quicker removal of your camera from the bag. The zippers also run the full length of the bag, providing easier lens control. And, probably the most apparent change is the new fabric that is more durable and water-resistant.
The Cloak Bag retails for $69 and is available on Cloak Bag’s website.
What do you think about the Cloak Bag? Where would you use something like this?
