I’ve got a review coming for the compact Sony RX100 soon (spoiler: it’s awesome), but I wanted to go ahead and pass along some sample images from the camera that I’ve been sitting on for a while. Check them out below.
Note that some of the below images has received some minor adjustments in Lightroom 4 (now that it finally supports RX100 RAW files) to my own personal preferences and tastes.
Feel free to download any of these sample images for your personal inspection (not for republication). You can get the original files by right-clicking on any of the images and choosing “Save link as…”
Overall, I’m very impressed with the image quality from the Sony RX100. I’ll have the full review up soon with all of my thoughts on this new point and shoot powerhouse.

These shots are impressive – how did you find using the screen to frame the shot in bright conditions? I’m very used to viewfinders…
Eric Reagan says
I have no complaints about the screen. Used it in bright light and in the dark of night. For me, it’s the perfect pocket camera (if a bit on the pricey side…)

Thanks Eric

Please,
Did you ever tried RX100 with and without stabilizer.
I found it very (totally) ineffective compared to Canon G10 and canon S90 !
Eric Reagan says
I found the RX100 stabilization worked quite well (this coming from a Canon G12 owner).
