November 8, 2012 By Eric Reagan

Adobe Lightroom 4.3 and Camera Raw 7.3 Release Candidates Now Available

Adobe just announced release candidates for Lightroom 4.3 and Camera Raw 7.3, which are now available in Adobe Labs.  Lightroom 4.3 and Camera Raw 7.3 offer support for the following cameras:

  • Canon PowerShot S110
  • Canon PowerShot G15
  • Canon PowerShot SX50 HS
  • Casio Exilim EX-ZR1000
  • Casio Exilim EX-FC300S
  • Nikon D600*
  • Olympus PEN E-PL5
  • Olympus PEN E-PM2
  • Olympus STYLUS XZ-2 iHS
  • Panasonic DMC-GH3
  • Pentax K-5 II
  • Pentax K-5 IIs
  • Pentax Q10

Additionally, Lightroom 4.3 Release Candidate includes support for HiDPI displays within the Develop Module.

* Denotes Full support.  Preliminary support for this camera was available in Lightroom 4.2 and Camera Raw 7.2.

Remember, these are release candidates, which means they’ve been pretty well tested and Adobe thinks they are ready for full release; however, it’s recommended that you keep production work to prior versions until the official releases drop.  Expect those to come soon though.  Release candidates mean that the final versions are just around the corner.

It would be most helpful if there were some instructions on how to install this download (Camera Raw 7.3) into Elements 10 which I just bought. Please don’t tell me I now have to buy Elements 11.

If you JUST purchased v10, you can probably get a free upgrade to v11. No sure but that is often the case. I have CS5 and CR 7.3 does not work with IT. so…………….

I still fail to see why Lightroom is not included in any of the Creative Suites. It is the only piece of software I have to purchase separately from CS, and is used as much as Premier in my office.

Thrilled to see the GH3 listed!

Interestingly, Lightroom is included with Creative Cloud subscriptions.
