The lens for Sony has no image stabilization yet it is priced similarly as the ones for Canon and Nikon. Not fair.
Exactly same design, parts, etc, just VR elements fixed solid. Also made in smaller quantities; Why should it be cheaper?
VR or IS elements cost money to produce. The difference between the IS and non-IS version of the Canon EF 70-200 f/4, for example, is more than $600.
The Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro Zoom Lens is just $199. Great lens. Why spend 200 dollars more on the sigma minus OS?
