Adobe has announced that Lightroom mobile will now be available on the iPhone with the same features and functionality we see in Lightroom mobile for the iPad.
The app is free to download; however, to do all the fancy desktop connectivity, you’ll need a Creative Cloud subscription. It is available as part of the Creative Cloud Photography plan, which was made a permanent fixture in Adobe’s Creative Cloud options.
As we’ve previously seen from Lightroom mobile, it will sync your designated collections from Lightroom 5.5 going forward. Your changes will be synchronized through the cloud – both ways. Changes made from your iPhone will show up on your desktop Lightroom installation and vice versa.

The only thing that sucks about this stuff is if you bought a standalone Lightroom 5 you can use the system. You have to rent the software to get to use the apps….

Agreed. I’d like to see a little more flexibility with Lightroom and mobile support. For instance, I subscribe to Creative Cloud but I also have a perpetual license for Lightroom so that I can install it on multiple personal computers. I would like to be able to connect to separate Lightroom catalogs through Creative Cloud, but only two computers are licensed for Creative Cloud.
