Blackmagic Design has released firmware version 1.9.3 for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. The firmware update adds the following features to the cameras:
- On the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, users can reveal the display by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and dismiss it by swiping down, just like on the Production Camera 4K. With a manual lens, the IRIS button will also toggle the display on or off.
- On the Pocket Cinema Camera, we have remapped the Up and Down button to reveal or hide the meters respectively. The Left and Right button will control the aperture with an active lens. With a manual lens, the IRIS button will also call up or dismiss the display.
- We have also increased the number of White Balance and Shutter Angle options as well as fixed in-camera playback when previewing ProRes clips.
