G-Technology Announces 8-Bay Thunderbolt 2 G-SPEED Studio XL

G-Technology G-Speed Studio XL

G-Technology recently announced a new 8-bay G-Speed Studio XL drive with Thunderbolt 2 connectivity. Previously, G-Tech had released a 2-bay and 4-bay version of the G-Speed Studio.

G-Technology G-Speed Studio XL Open

The G-Speed Studio XL drive holds up to 8 3.5″ enterprise-class 7200 RPM hard drives for a max 64TB drive using new 8TB hard drives. The G-Speed Studio XL can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Data transfer rates in RAID 0 can reach up to 1,350MB/s.

The G-Speed Studio XL is available in the following configurations and prices: 24TB for $3,599.95, 32TB for $4,599.95, 40TB for $5,499.95, 48TB for $5,999.95 and a colossal 64TB for $6,999.95. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
