Sony recently added the PXW-X200 camcorder to its XDCAM line. The PXW-X200 shoots 1080p HD video at up to 60 fps using Sony’s XAVC codec with 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling.
The camera uses three 1/2″ Exmor CMOS sensors and has a 17x lens (29.3-498.7mm equivalent). It records to dual SxS card slots and features genlock in and time code in/out.
Sony plans to release a live streaming function in a future firmware update, as well as the addition of an LTE USB module for remote live streaming capabilities.
The Sony PXW-X200 should be available in November 2014. Pricing info has yet to be released. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
