Sony has announced the new PXW-Z150, which is professional 4K XDCAM camcorder that uses a 1″ sensor and will also capture 1080p video at up to 120 frames per second. The Z150 comes in at a modest price point of $3600 and features a 12x zoom lens that combines with the 20MP to offer a Clear Image Zoom feature with 18x zoom in 4K mode and 24x zoom in 1080p mode. Alongside the new A7S II, Sony also introduced a new 4K cinema camera – the Sony PXW-FS5.
The FS5 features a Super 35 CMOS sensor and accepts Sony E-mount lenses. It captures 4K video with the XAVC-L codec at 24p/30p frame rates. It will also capture 1080p HD video at full resolution up to 240fps. [Read more…]
