The Fine Brothers have released a new video of kids reacting to old school technology. In this video, kids are handed an old Canon Sure Shot point and shoot film camera.
The reactions are fantastic. Those of you who have lived with film cameras at some point in your lives will certainly appreciate their frustration and confusion of how the cameras work.
I smiled through the entire video. Some of the basic functions that they question never dawned on me since I grew up with film. Loading film in a camera is just something everyone knew how to do. These kids are blown away by the trouble you had to go through to take a photo with the camera and then what happens when you actually want to see a photo.
It also serves as a good reminder to print some photos now and again. I was talking with a friend today about how to print your photos from your iPhone using the App and service from PostalPix. The prints are cheap and the shipping is reasonable. I’ve reviewed the service here before.
It’s probably the easiest way now to get prints from your iPhone or Android phone.
Ironically, a package from PostalPix came in our mail today too. It’s nice to have a little bit of analog every now and then in a world ruled by digital tech.
I’m not sure I get the point of this? is it supposed to be funny? Instructive? Insightful? What’s next, handing them a dial phone or a typewriter and asking them to make it work? Wow wouldn’t that be entertaining! Any retard could figure this out in a few minutes. These kids looks like future fast food service workers.
