Check out this video shot with the Nikon Coolpix P900 that gives close-up shots of the moon from here on Earth. The P900’s incredible 83x optical zoom range provides the equivalent of 24-2000mm zoom range.
Additionally, the P900 allows you to get even closer with a 166x Dynamic Fine Zoom and 332x Digi Zoom for 4000mm and 8000mm equivalent zoom reach, respectively.
The P900 captures 1080/60p video as well as 16MP JPEG still image files. For a $600 camera, it does quite a few things that many other more expensive models will not.

Good Evening All:
My greatest wish for the Nikon Coolpix P900 is that it should have RAW, JPEG does not cut it for me. This would be a great walk around camera with that feature. I shoot exclusively in RAW, no video.
Best,
Chris

I would like to see Samsung, Sony or Panasonic come out with a superzoom with 4K UHD. BTW I just shot the moon with my Samsung NX1 and 920mm F9 & 1480mm F6.3 in 4K UHD.
