What makes a great backlight even better? How about some fog or haze? But what if there is no fog or haze at your location?
Fog and haze machines are awesome for creating rays of light in your images but they are not very portable. And that’s part of the motive behind Knoxville-based photographers Joe and Kathleen Atkins’ desire to put haze in a can.
After two years of development, Atmosphere Aerosol launched this week as an affordable and portable tool that allows photographers to easily add haze to any shoot. “We wanted to create rays of light that took images to the next level. And, most importantly, we wanted to be able to produce images you see in films without having to carry a fog machine or tools that require power.”
Atmosphere Aerosol is a safe, non-toxic and ozone-friendly, clear spray that lingers in the air for an extended time. In a controlled environment with no wind, it can hang in the air for hours. The clear spray won’t stain gowns, suits or garments.
Each can is 8 ounces and similar to a can of hair spray. As you can see above, it is smaller than a 70-200mm lens and should fit easily into most camera bags.
A can of Atomosphere Aerosol retails for $11.95 and is available direct from AtmosphereAerosol.com.
