Histograms allow us to observe the graphical representation of our exposures. Most modern cameras are equipped with the ability to review the histogram and often place a live histogram on a camera’s display to help judge the exposure before we take a photo.

If you have a Sony camera, you can see the histogram in the EVF while framing the subject before taking the photo. It gives you the preview of what your photo will be.

Glad Karl showed that ‘normal’ histogram for the cups is going to be one end or the other. Would like to have heard a bit of a discussion on the histograms for the RBG channels. Thanks for the discount code for Square Space; I’ve been thinking of changing my platform to them.
