Along with the new EOS 80D, Canon also announced the PowerShot G7 X Mark II and PowerShot SX720 HS compact cameras.
The PowerShot G7 X Mark II serves as an upgrade to 2014’s originalĀ G7 X. The new model sticks with the same resolution at 20.1MP from a 1″ type sensor and a 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 equivalent lens, featuring image stabilization and a 9-blade iris. It gets a speed upgrade with the DIGIC 7 image processor (for faster startup and RAW shooting speed) and adds a grip for the right hand on the front of the camera body.

The PowerShot SX720 HS features a smaller form-factor sensor with a 1/2.3″ 20.3MP CMOS sensor. It uses Canon’s DIGIC 6 processor and features a 40x optical zoom lens with a 24-960mm equivalent zoom. It also has a nice grip bump for the right hand to grasp the camera.
