Full Frame CineAlta 4K Camera Coming Soon

July 27, 2017 By Eric Reagan

Sony is teasing a new full frame 4K cinema camera for its CineAlta line that is in the works. The camera will feature a 36x24mm sensor and, as Sony says, is “aspect ratio-agnostic,” offering support for Full Frame, Super35 4K 4-perf 4:3 Anamorphic and 4K spherical 3-perf 17:9.

The image sensor is entirely new, while maintaining the workflow established with Sony’s 16bit RAW/X-OCN and XAVC. It will also be compatible with gear and accessories in teh current CineAlta line. You can register for more details when they become available here on Sony’s website.
